Meet Anne Thompson

From Law to a Lifelong Love for Cats

Anne Thompson’s journey to becoming a renowned feline expert began in an unexpected place: the courtroom. After a fulfilling legal career, she pivoted in 2009 to follow her true passion for animals. She successfully ran a grooming salon in Montreal, Canada for years, but it was a single cat bite that changed everything.

That moment inspired Anne to dive deep into the world of feline behavior and specialized grooming. She sought out the best training available and earned the elite Certified Feline Master Groomer (CFMG) designation from the National Cat Groomers Institute (NCGI). This title is held by only a handful of groomers worldwide, and Anne now helps others achieve it as an official NCGI Certifier.

Today, Anne is dedicated to providing exceptional care for cats in her new home of Florida. She previously ran her popular mobile business, "I Groom Cats," but has now poured her passion into a new dream project: The Coastal Cat Resort and Spa. As Lee County’s first and only feline-exclusive boarding and grooming facility, it's more than just a place to stay—it's a sanctuary.
